Rosy Sparks

Don’t want to live this life without you,
Defeats the purpose of what we’ve been through,
I’ve got to hold on and trust that you will too,
Coz life will be meaningless if you’re not there boo!

I remember the day I saw you and you saw me,
And you came up to me and said, ‘Do you want a cup of tea?’,
After a while it became a norm, though the tea was free,
But in the heart of hearts something had begun and we were meant to be.

Through your life I have seen that God is good,
He accepts us as we are so that freedom and liberty they would,
Though dirty and unacceptable, and die we should,
Yet in His arms we are held and embraced and, yes, life is good.

‘Marriage is not for the faint-hearted’ that’s all I heard,
And who knows what beholds our future and if it will be bad,
We have gone through quite some patch and at times it seemed so hard;
But if we’re together, consistent, and friends, with God at the centre, we won’t be sad!

As we take the next step, let’s not forget the reason for marriage,
To be there for each other and live God’s purpose and till we’re old and we age,
I promise to stand by you and enjoy our time together, and not in a cage;
I love you and I feel you, and I’m stuck on that page!
